SCIFAN RULES
1. No bickering.
2. No name calling.
3. No bashing Intolerance of any type is the one thing we simply do not tolerate here...
In the spirit of SCIFI, please be respectful of our diverse members and ideas.
No debates or harassing fights allowed.Do not attack anyone for their personal beliefs.No discussions on politics or personal beliefs will be allowed as there are many cultures and beliefs. These topics generally cause very heated and passionate debates and some if not many members will feel personally objectified and insulted by these debates.There are plenty of debate forums out there,we are simply just a sciencefiction fandom based forum.
4. NO SPAMMING of any kind,this is ignorant and rude to all of the active members.
5. MODS RULE Do not disrespect them as they are here for your protection and support.They are all the best at what they do and are here because they enjoy it. They nor does AngelBitch get paid in anyway to run this forum.It is done out of appreciation for scifi.If you have a personal problem related to another member please feel free to contact AngelBitch through her profile.All staff decisions are final.
6. Be polite and courteous to other members.Be welcoming to newcomers. Make sure SCIFAN CONTACT is a pleasant one for them.
7. The board is PG, (with the exception of the adults only folder - those over 18 may request access) no cursing or lewd comments. No overly sexual topics.
8. PROBLEMS If anyone has any problems, email any of the mods. (see start page)
9. Chat Rules: All above rules apply. Some adult content may be allowed if all present are 18 or older and are regulars - please behave with the newbies though! Use common sense please. Do not harass members in chat!
10. THINK BEFORE YOU POST! Please try not to be offensive! When all else fails and you accidentally offend someone, PLEASE simply apologize for the indiscretion and go back and edit your initial offensive post so that those who have not yet read it are spared. Please don't bash and bicker over things. Edit yourself and politely move on.

RESULTS OF MISCONDUCT
First offense:You will be warned and asked to correct your wrong.
Second offense:You will be temporarily gagged until you can understand and agree to forum rules.
Third offense: You will be gagged and banned from the forum,basically 3 strikes and you are out.
(we do not like enforcing these rules but we will do so to any member that is offending others,this forum is for all of us not just the loudest;)
We feel that if everyone respects others and adheres to these very simple forum rules that this can be a friendly and fun place for everyone here.
